The Tree

"The Tree" is an atmospheric metroidvania where you explore a dead post-apocalyptic world reclaimed by nature. Humanity is long gone, ants have mutated into gigantic and deadly monsters, and plants have overrun the ruins of a lost civilization. As you travel through interconnected locations, you will discover unique plant-based abilities that reshape gameplay and unlock new paths. Your main goal is to collect four green spheres and grow The Tree of life, the last hope for this world.

Controls:

- WASD (or arrow keys): Walk and crouch

- SPACE: Jump

- E: Use the "Mushroom" ability

- Q: Use the "Spikes" ability

- Shift: Use the "Coffee" ability

- Hold SPACE while falling: Use the "Flower" ability

Basic Techniques:

- Ground Slam: Crouch in mid-air

- Super Jump: Ground Slam onto the mushroom

- Double Jump: Use the "Mushroom" ability in mid-air

- Shadow Pass: Use the "Coffee" ability into the shadow wall

To reset your save, go to the "Disk:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\LocalLow\after school company\The Tree" directory and delete the "save.json" file.
